Minnesota Vi kings quarterback Brett Favre(notes) may have lost his favorite receiver from last year for half the season, but it appears another favorite target is close to returning.
Sidney Rice(notes) is out after hip surgery. But Percy Harvin(notes), who has been sidelined with serious migraines since Aug. 19, needs to have one more test to be cleared to play against Seattle in a preseason home opener Saturday, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Favre and Harvin connected 60 times last year for 790 yards and six touchdowns.
It's a "long shot" that he'll play in this weekend's preseason game, but Harvin did catch a few passes on Wednesday in practice before sitting out Thursday's drills, the paper reports. |
