A group of Vikings fans has rented a billboard in Mississippi urging Minnesota QB Brett Favre to return for another season.
What began as a Facebook group supporting Favre that Vikings fan Jay Tappe began has morphed into a fund intent on luring the 40-year-old QB back to Minnesota.
"I had no idea what to expect," Tappe told the Hattiesburg American of starting the group. "We have enough to keep the billboard up for at least another week. We'll try to keep it up for about a month. It's crazy."
The billboard reads:
"Hey #4, do Minnesota fans love you and want you back next year? You Brettcha!"
Favre hasn't decided on whether to play in a 20th NFL season. His agent revealed photos this week of Favre's heavily bruised ankle and hamstring following a loss to the Saints in the NFC title game. |
