While the Minnesota Vikings appear to be convinced that Brett Favre(notes) will go ahead and decide to play yet another season, the decision may hinge on something that Favre hasn't made up his mind on yet: whether he'll get surgery on his left ankle or not.
Favre supposedly hasn't made up his mind on whether he should go under the knife or not, according to NFL.com. A rumor had floated yesterday morning that Favre wasn't going to have the surgery, which would have perhaps put him on the retirement track. But Favre supposedly hasn't decided yet.
It isn't clear how crucial the surgery is in order for Favre to return this autumn to the Vikes. Nothing is ever clear about Favre and whether he'll play or not, though. The overriding conventional wisdom, though, is that the Vikings will have Favre in the huddle for another season. |
