Brett Favre is a former NFL quarterback with 20 years experience as a professional NFL player. He is best known for his years as the starting quarterback for the Green Bay Packers, and holds many NFL records.
Favre is the only quarterback in NFL history to throw over 70,000 yards, over 500 touchdowns and over 10,000 pass attempts. He holds the NFL record for most consecutive starts, and is the only player to win AP MVP three consecutive times. Favre has led teams to eight division championships and two Super Bowl appearances, winning Super Bowl XXXI. He officially retired on January 17, 2011.
